The owners are very friendly & treat you like family. We stay at Timberline Golf every chance we get. The 9 Hole Course is challenging to young and old, novice or master and is well taken care of. It is nestled among the Quaken Aspen and Pines just off Highway 47, amid the quiet grandeur of the Tetons in Northern Fremont County, Idaho. The area & golf course is absolutely beautiful. We just love it there!

We stayed at the condo at Timberline Golf this past weekend for a family reunion. The accommodations and the service was excellent. Bonnie & Carl are awesome people that will treat you like family. We plan on staying again for our anniversary later this month. The golf course is well taken care of. This is a great gem of a place that is just getting better with every visit. They have just added a trapline sports park and are always doing fun things for the customers. Great people! Thanks so much!

This course is special. It was hand built by the family who runs it, and they are very nice. It's a tough, mountain-goat course, well-maintained and very pretty. It's not Orlando/Scottsdale-type garden golf with fast carts on blacktop paths and yardage markers every 25 yards. You have to use your wits to score. There were only five or ten people on the entire course the day I played it. Family member will cook you a burger at the grill. I walked it, was exhausted, and loved the experience.

Unless you are a hacker, this course isnt worth playing. There are better alternatives within easy driving distance.

The 08 review was not about Timberline, it was about a course called Aspen Acres and is an acurate review.
I played Tiberline 2 times in three days and both time were outstanding. The greens were in great shape as were the fairways. The family that owns this made you feel right at home.Coming from Colorado I play quite a few mountain courses ie.. Breckenridge/Keystone/Winterpark and this course holds it's own against these courses. We played the first 9 from the whites and the back 9 from the tips and that changed to golf course enough to make it seem as if you were playing a different 9.I would'nt pass this place up if I was in the area.

I don't know if I played the same course as the other reviewers.
This a typical 9 hole course set in the forest. Narrow fairways, postage stamp sized greens and grass that is not cut very often. Tee boxes were shaggy and the greens were slow and the grass was too tall for a putting surface. They were very spongy as well.
This course wasn't worth the stop on my trip. The course is not golfer friendly with misleading yardage signs and no fairway markers. I didn't encounter any of these new cart paths either. UGH!!!!

scenary is awesome

what a gorgeous view, scenary makes this course a wonderful choice for an out of the way golf experience. course is difficult enough to still have fun. owners had done an excellant job of fixing this location up. 4 years ago myself and my 2 best friends decided to check this place out and have been returning ever since. on second thought dont check this place out i dont want to see it get crowded lol. very good value you should check this place out at least once in your life. staff as friendly as they come.

Awesome Golf Course.

Have you ever been to a golf course in the middle of the forest? try this one out it has gorgeous senery and who knows maybe you will have a moose come right out in front of you while you are golfing, or maybe when you are driving along one of the newly paved cart paths a few deer will look up from eating and watch you. there is also a wonderful clubhouse with food, pop, beer, and mixed drinks. There is also a really nice RV park with water and power hook-ups, there are two cabins, one with a queen size bed and the other with two full beds, not only that but there is a condo with a beautiful pond, HOT TUB, and pavilion, perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and even just big parties. But thats just the stuff for the summer! When the snow comes there are still big get-togethers, and tons of snowmobiling, the cabins and condo are open year-round for business. The get-togethers that they have during the winter and even some in the summer have some of the best food you could ever eat! Every week there are scrambles; tuesday night is mens night; thursday night is womens night; and friday night is couples. so when you pull your RV in on friday afternoon or get to your cabin that you have rented friday afternoon, then that evening you and your significant other can go and play in the scramble together, and when you are finished golfing there is a wonderful dinner afterwards, on the house! (you do have to pay for your gold though :)! I am sure that i could go on and on about how great this place is but to believe it you will have to come and see. hope to see you there!
