Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course, Waukee, IA

Nice course, very short. Wasn't very impressed with the person working the check-in.

The greens were nice, but the people who play there must not like repairing their own ball marks on the green. Each of us repaired at least 5 ball marks/green in addition to our own.

Showed up at the course 20 minutes early for our tee time. Tried to pay for 18 holes. Check-in person told us that we probably wouldn't have time for 18 holes because play would be slow. The 2 of us finished the 9 holes in about 1 hour 15 minutes. Saw that there were a couple groups heading out as we finished so we decided to sit on the patio and have a couple drinks. After about 20 minutes sitting on the patio and no other groups going out, we decided to play another 9. Went inside to pay. Check in person said we couldn't because there was a family going out at 5:30 (it was already 5:35). We went back out to the patio. The family showed up at 5:55.

Seems the course didn't want our money. We can oblige them with that.
