The course is nice and so are the people that run it. A couple easy holes, a couple hard holes. I have played it for years and the only problem that I have is sometimes it is hard to play thru some groups. Usually from the senior tour but I'll tell ya they seem to hit it straight about 100 yards reguardless of club everytime. So I'm sure your impression of this course depends on the speed of your round which has been 80% fast 20% slow for me. Nice course and great deal if you want to play all day.

I am the General Manager of Don Williams Clubhouse. I myself have no authority to dictate prices here since it is a county owned course. As stated, our green fees are for all day here, no discount is needed for that ever. Our green fees are $13.00 plus tax on weekdays and $14.00 plus tax on weekends. Our golf carts are rented for $13.00 for 9 holes and $18.00 for 18 holes (2 rounds). I cannot upgrade a 9 hole cart to a 18 hole cart once rented for the additional $5.00. The rules set by the county say so. As for my attitude toward this customer, I would say he is sadly overstating the situation because he was disappointed by his idea of what the price should be. I have NEVER ignored a customer in my clubhouse and they are, for the most part, not a bother to me unless they are unreasonable about prices or service. Please come out and give this course a try. It is a beautiful course maintained by a great guy named Roger Zimmer.

I work at this course and have noticed someone here has complained that we didn't give you a break on 18 holes! I will tell you Im only 20 years old but i've been to 25-30 golf courses in my short life and NO golf course whatsoever will EVER give you a break just because you want to play 18! Our greens fee's are good for all day! You don't pay for 9 or 18 you buy a greens fee you can play from 6:30 a.m., when we open, to midnight if you wish! The carts are rented by 9 or 18 and at a very cheap price! I know the manager very well and he does his best to make every single person who comes here happy and this is one of the cheapest places to play in the tri state area! Not saying it is the cheapest but its really cheap! Also you get a great golfing experience, its a nice, challenging course with a lot to offer! Great members, and the people who take care of the course really know what they are doing! They keep it in good shape and do all they can to fix the things that are wrong with it!

Used to play this course but have moved away, but came back into town and thought I would try it out again. I was very disappointed. When we got to the clubhouse the gentleman running it was at his computer and didn't even anknowledge that we had come in. We asked for the prices as we did not see any listed and it seemed as if we were a bother to the man not a customer. It cost us $22 to play 9 holes and were were planning on playing 18 but they give you no break on greens fees for playing 18 holes which I found a little strange. So I was a little turned of already but very ready to play some golf.
We got to the first tee and the course was beautiful looking as always. It looks like it is very well cared for for the most part. There is a lot of "marshy" land around the 4th and 6th hole, which I remember from when I played before. Had to take a drop as my 2nd shot went right into the middle of it, as its in the fairway. The course looked good with good greens and fairways. The yardage markers on some holes were not even close to actual yardage and for someone that doesn't play the course often made it a little harder to judge.
It was fun to play this course again but for what it cost us to play here and the way that we were treated we will go to Honey Creek in Boone for close to the same price next time, which is a shame because this course could be a hidden gem.

I recently played Don Williams and it was a very nice course. The green fees are very reasonable also. I enjoyed the course but unfortunately will never play there again! The course manager was VERY rude to us. I guess if we were members there or over age 50 he would have treated us a little better. Until they get a new manager I will NEVER return and will tell everyone the same!

Too bad this is a county operated course. With a little more tlc and improvements, this could be a real gem.Guests could be better trained, though.Played on a fri afternoon and took me 6 hours alone in a cart.Still worth the price, though.
