Oaks golf course opened in 1959. Gina Johnson manages the course as the General Manager.
Very reasonably priced course... they had a special going so we could walk 9 for $8 or 18 for $11. This course is not a difficult course to walk other than a few large hills in a couple places. I would suggest that the course is very plain except for 2 holes that provides some interesting decisions... #6 is a par 5 with a tree in the middle of the fairway 100 yards off the greens so it is guarded pretty well in the valley.#7 straight up a hill, probably need one extra club for sure if not two.Good course to learn to play golf if you are new to golfing, it just doesn't provide a lot of challenges.
This course is a great value, and you get a pretty good round of golf out of the deal. This course is pretty straightforward, no doglegs at all, but a fair amount of elevation changes and blind shots. An uneven lie is not uncommon at all. The fairways aren't super tight, but not super wide, either, so if you fight a slice or hook you will want to be careful of the other fairways that run parallel to each other. The cost is good: the course isn't as snazzy as some of the others, but the cost reflects that, and by no means is the course bad. The greens and fairway run pretty fast, so count on a lot of roll from your shots -- perfecting a bump-and-run shot can really come in handy. I will definitely be coming back to this course.
All right course for winter golfing. Dry fairways in the summer. fairly well maintained for not haveing irrigation. nice layout for liesure golf.
