My wife and I planned two days of our Hawaiian vacation around me playing the Palmer Course at Turtle Bay. We stayed on-site, with an alarmingly high room rate. We thought that being a resort, the rooms would certainly be worth. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The resort facility was nice, but the room was lacking considerably, especially when price is considered.

I expected ocean views on almost every hole. Instead, despite the proximity to the ocean, the only hole that offered true ocean views was #17. The course was in decent condition, but the same course (with as good or better scenery) in Wisconsin would cost you 1/2 as much.

The staff at the entire resort was very friendly and helpful. It's a shame the golf wasn't the experience I hoped it would be.

i played this twice while staying at turtle bay. it was in great shape. the staff is super friendly and very helpful. the best ive seen actually. tee times were flexible and i never ran into anybody. the scenery was nice although you expect better being in hawaii. the 17th hole was obviously the best. great course, a must play if on Oahu.

I played here with really high expectations. Course in OK shape but recent aeration on the greens made them far from perfect. This course is way overrated for the price compared with the rest of the island, and the service and amenities are not worthy of a +100$ golf course. There is only one view of the Ocean despite the close proximity. If you are looking for Oahu's best, I would look elsewhere.

This was a very difficult course, but very enjoyable. The greens were in supreme shape and the staff was great. This is a pricy course, but worth the experience. Out of all the courses I have played, this one kicked my butt and I didn't really mind.

Outstanding course with fantastic, fast greens. I am told that Arnold Palmer says he designed it too tough for even himself. The course plays harder than it looks. You will be scratching your head wondering how you got a double bogie, but such is life with golf. I highly recommend this course. I have played there only 3 or 4 times and already the staff knows me by name. That makes me feel like a Tiger or an Arnold. Well worth the money.

Great staff that make you feel like your Royalty. The fairways feel like sponge. Im saying perfect fairways. Very deep rough. Trees keep the strong wind in the area down to a minimum. Bunkers can have you pulling your hair out as there are many. One ocean view hole and you can only see it from the green. Alittle disappointed about that but this course in a whole is a beautiful, very well maintained, challenging course. Could be cheaper but worth paying once for the feel of the fairways.
