County owned course, needs some maintenance. Must call in an automated number 1 day ahead of a tee time to play or walk ups may wait for a hour. I play a couple time a year because very convenient.

Good course to play if you want to just play and not expect anything fancy or challenging. Because the course is in the middle of Honolulu, you will hear a lot of traffic noise on some of the holes. Don't even think about getting a tee-time; just walk-on and meet some people.

Love the course! Play here at least once a week. Open 365 days a year. $6 twilight/$24 Weekend with cart (kama’aina rates). Short… yes it is, but it keeps you honest. It is what it is, nothing fancy, just GOLF. If you don’t play fast the locals will hit on you.

Impossible to get a tee time, 6:30 it opens…6:40 it’s full. The average wait time for a foursome to get on 1-2+ hours, single 15-30 minutes.

I would recommend tourist play at least once to experience our little jewel in paradise. Can’t beat the byob 19th hole in the parking lot after your round.

The place has seen better days.

The course is pretty short and easy, there are some great views if you stop to look around.

They do play pretty fast there. My first time, a friend told me that we have to play fast or the old timers will run us over.

ALA Wai is a nice golf experience

Nice alternative if you are staying near Waikiki and want a convenient course to play.

I was matched up with local golfers who went out of their way to make the round a pleasant experience.

Routinely play 5 somes and they play fast... 18 holes in 3 and a half hours
