This is one of my favorite courses in Myrtle Beach. It's got wide fairways that let us grip-it-and-rip-it types stay out of trouble. It's got some very challenging holes, including #13 which is probably the hardest hole I've played in Myrtle Beach. A ton of sandtraps that are usually kept in very good shape.

My complaints about Arcadian Shores: they don't keep the greens and fairways in as nice a shape as they should, and the greens fees are a little higher than you would pay for a similar course if you're willing to drive a little further.

My biggest complaint is that they will pack the course in the morning. They start people off of both sides which makes for some of the longest rounds in MB. Also, their starters and staff are #@%#@%. Sorry. Not trying to be vindictive, but they really have some unpleasant employees there.

Nevertheless, I still make it a priority to play there every time I'm in town.

First played this course in the early 1980's when it was one of the premier courses. It went downhill after that but is well on its way back. Wide fairways with lots of sand. A fun course that is not overly difficult but is still a test.
