Not in the best shape. The fairways and greens suffer from the lack of a knowledgeable grounds grew, and the greens are small, (square footage wise). But the new management has made the course better, and longer.

**NOTE TO FELLOW GOLFERS: Please fix your ball marks on the greens no matter where you are playing. You can buy a tool to do this at Wal-Mart for $5, or use a tee!!! Do something! You are ruining the experience for other golfers!

played last weekend for the first time. 08-08-2010 the starter was helpful and was willing to give us some pointers on where to play our shots. he meet us on #2 to do the same. this is a good course for the money, greens were in good shape, the staff was so friendly.due to county regs they do not have cold water on the course.I am already to go back this weekend with some other friends for a day of fun

Just like jwood88 and chip90 noted, it is not an eagle but worth the price and friendly folks. Just played here this am based on the comments.. If you like golf it is fun... Greens and fairways a little ruff but still fun..It is a gem... Make sure you get directions there are no signs on the way there.

worth for what it is

pine hills isnt an eagle green... for those that dont have money like some, its well worth the course, its fun, challenging and cheap. the staff is friendly and are willing to help to those who would like to be helped, theres some that just dont want to hear it. out of 10, its definitely an 8 keep up the good work guys

Not Fancy, But a Gem Nonetheless

I wish there were more courses around like this one. This is a basic yet fun golf course where you can play and work on your game and not spend a lot of money or put up with a lot of uptight people or fru-fru pretentions. The greens could be better, but for the money, this course is to be treasured.

tee time gone bad

great golf course! i just didn't have a pleasant time here. these people here aren't very nice. need to change workers and staffs. i won't be coming back here until it changes. you wanna be happy and enjoy playing golf? go elsewhere....

houston, we have a problem...

Yep, that says it all. It was a terrible experience coming here. I, too, had a bad time. The people working here were awful. They were not friendly at all. I've played at other courses before, and this one will not be on my choice of list. It definitely needs major help! Either replace the people working here or they need major training on how to be nice, generous, kind, friendly, and just let people who comes here play ball and enjoy their time! I don't recommend anyone coming here. It needs to change or else I'll go some place else!

Awful Time!!

Need some major improvement (management). It was already bad from the start. I never enjoy my time there. I wasn't happy the whole time. They were just on my case everywhere I went. Should've went somewhere else. Not a good experience! I should get my money back!!! For your info: don't play here! You might regret it later. You've been warned....

bad experience!!!

I've had the worst experience coming here. As far as the golf course itself, it was great. But it was the management!! They were horrible! They kept telling us to hurry and I felt like I was rushed, so I didn't even enjoyed my time there. They kept looking at us like we're suppose to play like Tiger Woods. No one's that good that come out here to play golf. C'mon if I'm as good as Tiger, I wouldn't come here. It was a disaster. I had THE WORST time ever playing golf here. Definitely needs new management. It's my first and will be my last time here. Please do not come here if you want to have fun and not be rushed or WATCHED at all times!!!!

need some help!!

The golf course is great. It is the people running the place that needs some serious help. It is probably the worst experience I have ever had golfing. They were trying to rush us through, spying and lurking on every corner, telling us how to play and even threatening us. It was not a pleasant day for us. I would not recomend this course if you like a nice and pleasant golfing experience. Go somewhere else. You would enjoy it more.

Getting better

This course used to be very poorly maintained and though it has it's problems still, it has come a very long way. In the area it is the best value course "for the rest of us" who can't lay down $60-$80 for a round every weekend but don't want to tee off from a concrete pad. Definitely worth a play!
