You might expect a dog track for the low green fees but you would be completely wrong. Course is in top-notch condition; healthy fairways, smooth true-rolling greens, fluffy bunkers. Holes are challenging but fair. Pace of play was great at four hours. The clubhouse is a run-down double-wide trailer (replacement planned), the on-course restrooms are shabby, and the cart paths are pretty rough, but those are the only things that disappoint. The golf itself is five star.

I have played courses all over the southeast and mid west. From Myrtle Beach to Odessa Texas and from Niagra Fall to the Bears Club in Jupiter Island Florida. The Golf Club of South Georgia is on par with any course in the country except Augusta National! The new owner, Chip is very nice. Ms Spinks is no longer there but Steve the new GM and Chesley the new pro are awesome. It is a must play course. If you ever play this course you will want to play it again.
