Course was ok. I was going to give a 3 star rating but I gave a 2 for two reasons.
#1. Greens were very spongy and cut very long. Not a good putting surface. The sad thing is that they have potential. Look nice but aren't playable at all. Like putting on carpet. Suggestion.....roll those greens!!!! Sand them and water/roll them. There is potential.
#2. Back nine par five, par four stretch. The local club has a ridiculous out of bonds between two holes. When I say OB I mean the holes share the rough (practically shar fairways) and there are OB stakes splitting them?!? Quirky redneck rules written by someone that dosnt understand the natural flow that a course should have.

The course was pretty good even with the major drought that we're in. The first thing I noticed was the lady at the front register went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and always had a smile om her face! The driving range was alright if your an average player, much above that leave your driver and 3 wood in the bag due to the range ends around 250 yds maybe... The one thing I did like about the range was that it was a grass tee box and NOT a artificial one, something that golf courses around atlanta are starting to stray away from. The course was easy the back nine is a little more difficult starting off with a long par 3 from the back tees. If you hit the ball straight off the tee you'll be in good shape, also the greens are very fast due to this horrible drought we are going thru so be sure to tone your speed down some. Other then that the price you can get off golfnow.com for Cedarlake is pretty a descent deal.

Very nice course with a great staff. Layout of the course is awsome. The fairways are in good shape and the greens are great. Will definitely play this course again.
