Course Reviews

Played Sept 5th 2016, course was in good shape, greens full and soft.

Played all 18 on July 3 2016 very challenging , All the green's were in great condition . Loved the layout and scenery . Saw a large Deer on the course , No Gator's does not mean they are not there . Watch out for poison Ivy or Oak on the side wooded area Leaves of 3 let them be . Had Lot's Of Fun Trying my Golfing Skills Here . PS Drink Lot's of Water

I played this course on 15 Jun 2011 and was rather disappointed. Greens had been sanded and were very bumpy with grass/weed clumps (Poana?). It didn't appear that the bunkers had been serviced in quite a while. Fairways were brown due to hot and dry weather in central Georgia, so no reflection on the course. Clubhouse is tired and is in sore need of some TLC. With all that said, I enjoyed the course layout. Carts are a must as the distance between greens and tees can be very long. Ask for cart #36 with no governor (fastest cart I've ever ridden in :-)) I would like to play this track again when the greens are in better shape.

I played this course Friday morning it was 34 bucks and this is the going rate or slightly less for our area. The greens arent fast but they are in great shape no bare spots or disease tift dwarf eagle greens held well with long irons and fairway woods. The fairways are soft and fast and generous. The staff was not overly friendly but werent rude either adequate transaction occured no racial profiling experienced. The darnedest thing about this course is is was apparently built where trees and lakes and other wildlife live and for some crazy reason these animals wonder out on to the course on rare occasion. I just cant figure it out hmmmm. I could not find any reptiles from the middle of the fairway but if you spend your day combing the edge of the woods and the edge of the lakes there is a slight possiblity of encountering one of mother natures little creatures. Just remember they were their long before the course was built and be sensible when hunting for wayward shots. If you get the chance play this course you will not be disappointed with the course. Maybe your game but not the course. Hit Em Good...

Decent course. It is a stones throw from my house so I play it often just because it is so convenient. The staff is kind of snotty but I just chalk that up to the golf tradition of looking down your nose at African Americans who have the audacity to take up the sport. It's long, hilly and a bit of a challenge if you are a beginner. Warning: There are Alligators on the course in the pond off the par 3 6th green (or is it the 9th?) and no signs which I feel is completely irresponsible. Even though Alligators aren't traditionally aggressive toward humans, it only takes one tragic event to change all that and open the course up to some severe liability. Even though, it is so close to my home I won't patronize them again as long as the gators are there. Ain't worth the risk.

This course has a very scenic and challenging layout. I played Fox Run and Oak Haven within a week of playing this course and I was surprised to find it was the best maintained. Green fees are the same for all 3 courses, but Oakview gets the nod.

I like this course alot. I have played it several times and feel like it is a good value for the money.

The course layout is very scenic and enjoyable. Many holes have pretty drastic banking or hills to contend with that adds to the overall challenge.

The greens are pretty much basic. I cant think of a hole that had any drastic multi-tearing or too much break one way or the other.

The clubhouse is pretty nice. But the amenities are pretty limited. You may want to consider picking up whatever you need before coming out. They have a small bar, and an even smaller golf office. You can get a dozen balls or a glove if needed, but not much more than that.

Great driving range also.

DO NOT walk this course unless you are in really good shape.

I gave it 3.5 out of 5.

Good coarse

This coarse was fun to play and looks great as well. It is difficult and makes you play hard, but is worth playing. I played a tournament in the rain here and still had a blast. The greens were in great shape and seemed to be well manicured. Not a coarse for walking.

Oakview

The course is a very well laid out and beautiful course. Challenging with fast greens and requires proper course management and ball positioning. Facilities are nice and give the impression that they are putting forth the effort to be a truly outstanding club. No markers on the tee boxes at this time, however, we were informed that new markers are on order. A layout map or guidebook would be helpful for the first time player. Once you have played the course it is not difficult to desern the course. I thoroughly enjoyed my round and I am looking forward to playing the course again. Cudos to the management and maintenance personnel, keep up the good work.

This course COULD be a wonderful course. But it's not!!!!

THE COURSE LAYOUT IS VERY CHALLENGING BUT THE LACK OF MAINTENANCE ON THE COURSE LEAVES LITTLE TO DESIRE. THE ROUGH, FAIRWAYS, AND TEE BOXES ARE NOT MANICURED AT ALL. HOWEVER THE GREENS ARE IN FAIRLY GOOD SHAPE. SCORECARDS ARE OF LITTLE HELP TO FIST TIME PLAYERS OF THE COURSE SO ALOT OF GUESS WORK GOES INTO EACH SHOT. NO COURSE RANGERS WERE PRESENT ON THE COURSE AND WE GOT STUCK BEHIND A FIVESOME AND HAD NO ONE TO ASSIST US AS THE GROUP NEVER LET US PLAY THROUGH. THEY DID HAVE A CART GIRL WHICH CAME IN HANDY AS WE WAITED BEHIND THAT FIVESOME. I WOULD PLAY AGAIN IF THEY WOULD CUT THE GRASS.
