played today 8/16/11-- i have to say its an awful shame that they cant straighten out the greens situation, this afternoon they were horrible, and not even consistantly bad, each one was its own entity. i say its a shame because i absolutely love the layout, good shots rewarded and bad shots will find you digging in your bag for another ball. cost me 36 bucks at noon and i got my round in in 2 1/2 hours. even with the bad greens managed to shoot 77 wich is relly good for me. ill play it again but PLEASE fix the greens.

The city dropped a ton of tax payer money on this course and the greens have already gone to HELL. The staff is also really cold...not a friendly environment....I wont be back

I'm surprised no one has written a recent review to give this course some props for making the turn. They have new management. Cherokee Run is back eveyone. The greens ran true and the fairways were in great shape, they are really cleaning up that course. They took out a bunch of trees that had made it more difficult. Get back to this course, you will not be sorry.. It is back in our rotation.

I would not go back to this course unless I had people tell me that things have improved dramatically. To start with, they advertised a $27 super twilight rate on the internet and then charged me $32 per person upon arrival. When I questioned it I was told "oh, the internet rate isn't correct". THEN FIX IT!! After they took my money they mentioned that the greens had been in pretty bad shape but, "have improved quite a bit". If that was an improvement then they should have closed the course and completely refurbished them. They were HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! It was impossible to get a putt to roll straight, ON ANY LENGTH! They had craters covering a significant part of the greens. I used to play to this course with some regularity and it was one of the finest clubs in the area. I will admit that the fairways are still pretty nice. But the overall appearance of the rest of the course leaves a lot to be desired. They have obviously cut back on the maintenance staff because weeds are everywhere, something you didn't used to see here. My recomendation is that you find another course, do not waste your money on this one. There are much better options in the area. I would suggest you drive 15 miles north up Hwy 138 and play Bear Creek where they have an ownership that cares about course quality and their customers.
