The 18-hole "Legacy" course at the Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course facility in Buford, Georgia features 6,580 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Joseph L. Lee/(R) Billy Fuller, the Legacy golf course opened in 2009.
Went to this course while visiting over Thanksgiving holiday and called ahead and asked about any special consideration. We showed up and found out that even though it was a brisk 50 degrees our that sweatshirts were acceptable even though it was against dress code but no denim allowed under no circumstances. Since it was $50 dollars to play and there were hardly any cars in the parking lot we took our $200 elsewhere. Apparently making money is not that important when it is a holiday weekend and it is cold and nobody else is playing. They also were not nice about it and seemed like the typical snobs that think they are doing you a favor by letting you golf on their course. Never played this course and never will.
This Golf Course is really stunning.I came here per chance after the PGA Championships. The Course is absolutely beautiful with the lake coming into play on most of the holes. The greens are fast and well maintained. Although the course is not long there are a lot of difficulties and challenges such as long carry shots over the sea.Very good value for money.
