Quality Layout, course and Greens

What a wonderfull course to play. Had such a GREAT time.

Played on Feb.9, 2011. From the staff that greets you to the personnel in the Pro Shop and the starter, you are made to feel welcome. Probably among the best service to be found anywhere. Attention to detail is quite evident with free bottles of water on the cart, the best cart GPS system I have ever used, free range balls and even clean towels. The club house has everything one could want at a golf facility.

The course was in excellent condition. Fairways, greens and bunkers (yes, I found a few of them) were all well maintained and the greens rolled fast and true. The scenery on Panther Lake is, in my opinion, more picturesque than on Crooked Cat although both are exceptional experiences.

Either course is a real test but equally as enjoyable and a great value for the money spent. It is easy to see why Orange County National rates among the best in the entire country and certainly the best in the Orlando area. A MUST play course !

We played Panther Lake on 1/12/2010 and enjoyed it tremendously. The course was well designed and maintained with some very interesting holes. It was challanging, but has many sets of tees so it can be good for a wide variety of players. The clubhouse and practice area were top shelf. The only thing I want to convey is that if you play slow, or even at an average speed, this is not the course for you. Also there is not time for a snack at the turn as all they emphasize is speed speed speed. They require a 4 hour round. Not exactly what I was looking for on vacation, but for pure golf purposes it was a excellent choice.
