The 18-hole "Dunes" course at the Dunes Golf Club facility in Weeki Wachee, Florida features 7,140 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Arthur Hills, ASGCA, the Dunes golf course opened in 2013.
When I tell you this course is in the middle of nowhere, I am telling you that this course is in the middle of nowhere. The fairways are very generous with ample landing room. We paid $36 on a weekday morning. From the tee boxes the course is very scenic. The greens however, were not in great shape and made putting very difficult. Some of the greens were built with giants mounds on them which made very little sense and added to the frustration of putting them. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The Dunes is a spectacular golf course and is by far the greatest golf experience we had while visiting . The course has a great layout and is in great condition with a very friendly staff to make your day even more enjoyable. Fifty dollars including the cart was a bargain
