Bloomingdale is a great course that is being mismanaged to death. At one point it was one of the premier public courses in the Tampa area, and it has slipped from the position big time. It is still a great layout with serious potential. The greens were in bad shape over the summer but they are coming around at this point. The fairways are in ok shape. The problem comes in with 5 and 6 hour rounds on the weekends. If you play on a Saturday or Sunday, just plan on there being 3 groups on every hole. A five and half hour round is pretty much what is to be expected. They simply over book the course. On a recent friday we went in early in the afternoon and asked if we could get on. He told us yeah there was room if we went on out to the teebox. We loaded up our bags and went straight to the tee, where we waited for a half hour to tee off. We ended up dropping out after 4 and a half hours and 14 hours. The guys behind us were complaining about why they bothered with a tee time if they were just going to let people walk on in front of them, and they were absolutely right. It's hard to turn away business, but we should have been told to come back later. It's sad because it could be a great course, but its hard to play anytime but weekday afternoons.

The greens are back at Bloomingdale. They have Champion ultra dwarf greens that are great. Looks like they are one of the few courses in the area spending money on their course. Love the bev cart girls they are amazing!

This is a beautiful layout and when they manage the greens properly it is a great round of golf. Haven't played here since 2007, but it has never been as good as when the club pro was Alan. Great practice facility.

No water coolers here and no girls to sell you drinks!!!! Greens are not the best.overall maintenance is average. If I ever go again I'll make sure to sneak my cooler before I faint & die without nobody noticing (pretty empty for a saturday)

Played it two days ago. This course had the most horrible greens I've seen in many years and I've played from coast to coast over the last 20 years. It's no wonder I was able to play two balls on each hole and didn't see another golfer for the entire round! This was a complete rip-off and I'm not even commenting on the worst clubhouse food I've ever come across! Not worth it!

Be careful! This an excellent layout and has tremendous practice facilities. However as of 2/12/08 there are 4-6 very poor grass in many spots...lots of sand top dressing. Most other greens are very good but if you're looking for a good 18 hole round this isn't the place to go right now.

For a beginner this is the nicest course I have played. The guys do a great job of keeping the course up, and provide a great outting. The scenery is fantastic given that this course is surrounded by suburban neighborhoods.

Great course, very well maintained. Holes 16-18 are probably the best on the course. Local paper has a coupon for $30 for FL residents. I would be willing to pay more than that to play here.
