The Blue/Gold course is one of my favorite courses anywhere; interesting holes and layout. I play a lot of courses in the area and have never found the conditions to be anything but at least above average. Blue/Gold: The front nine is slightly more open than the back and favors long hitters with moderate accuracy. In my experience, the back nine punches those same long hitters in the face with a number of water hazards crossing the fairway and tree lines blocking the most direct path to the green. Red/White: I have only played a couple holes of the Red/White, but I have driven through it a number of times. It is a different world compared to the Blue/Gold and has wide-open fairways with dispersed trees and interlocking fairways. Walkers appear to be allowed on this course, which is rare down here in South Florida, so I can't rule out that the this particular course is populated with folks that can't seem to find their golf carts. The staff as well as the clientele are generally older. However, I typically see a number of students playing the Red/White on weekdays. In regard to the staff, I can see how some reviewers could have mistaken the staff as unfriendly as they (thankfully) do not go out of their way to harass you with pleasantries. But, without fail, everyone has always been friendly enough when I have made an effort to engage in conversation.

I thought the course was great. The personnel and members at this course were VERY RUDE! Play was very slow. Starter was very grumpy and RUDE to everyone. COURSE ranger did not address slow play because they were members. Members cutting into line when making the turn. My group was third in line to go off the back after a very slow front nine, a member walks up to tee box, grabs his driver, tees up his ball, about to tee off when I stepped onto the tee box and said excuse me, but what are you doing? His response was that it is golf etiquette that any golfer completing the front nine has honors on tee box when making the turn. I informed him that everyone setting here in line just finished the front nine, and he needs to wait his turn. The member did pick up his ball and proceed to the back of line, but through out the entire back nine, he consistently drove balls extremely close to my group. Every hole there were at least 2 and sometimes 3 groups at a tee box waiting to tee off. Will not be returning to this COURSE again. This course caters to the retired & elderly...if under 60,,,I would NOT recommend this COURSE.

I believe this course was very fair. The greens were great and the airport makes this a great view. We played 18 holes, watched several Leer jets come and go and had a great time.

Played the Red/White on a day that was completely booked.

Overall, the course is a typical municipal course in that it's not in bad shape but there are a lot better in the area for a comparable price. The condition of the greens was "average" although they were slow by most standards.

Pace of play initially was acceptable (2 hrs, 20 minutes) for the front nine but it slowed at the turn with a 35+ minute wait to tee off on the back and then crawled on the back side. That was without a stop for anything to eat although one could have enjoyed a sit down lunch with the wait everyone endured.

For my money, there are courses that offer a better value in the area.
