This is Goofy Golf to the ultimate. Forced carry here, but water beyond if you actually hit driver. 115 yard par 3's, a 90 yard par 3, etc. Many blind shots. Even with GPS difficult to find all the hazard intrusions. Maintenance isn't good enough to be bad. Terrible condition. From back tees (not that long) trees hang out over the only route to the fairway just far enough to be in the way. Blind shots require you to actually hit around obstructions. Has a par 3 with two greens but no warning about it. Both have flags. Truly Goofy Golf with no redeeming features.

I have played this course several times over the last three years and always found it to be in good shape. There definitly is water laterally on every hole - sometimes on both sides. The fairways are narrow by florida course standards and sometimes there are water canals crossing or edging into the fairways. This difinitly makes the course challenging but not impossably so. The womens tees are set to remove most of the danger on initial shots. I usually play from the whites and last time out shot a 92, my best score of the week. So an expert player i'm not. I found the course a lot of fun, the staff friendly. The course is pricey so here is a good tip: call 1-800-650-2665 the friendly folks at Stand By Golf and you can usually get about $20 off the published price. This is very handy for a single player which many of the clubs will not schedule ahead of time.

Target golf is not always my favorite; that's what this course provides. How they cam up with the name "Dunes" is truly a mystery. Played mid-October; course was a little wet, greens slow. Staff is very nice, saw LOTS of Gators and other wildlife. Worth a visit if you're close by, lots of better courses South in Naples/Bonita.

You know those beat up golf balls you found in the rough when you were looking for your ball? Bring them. No place for pride here. Pro shop balls are expensive. My wife and I purchased an "all you can golf" package with a stay at one of the local hotels. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the course is memorable. A shot makers course, almost target golf. More water than I've seen on any course. Water to the right, multi-million dollar mansions to the left. Fairly tight and the fairways are pitched so that if you get a little off to one side the ball may roll into the water. Course is pretty well maintained and greens are generally good to hold a ball. Nice scenery with the back nine a different look than the front. The driving range gets you acclimated to the course pretty well as you are hitting balls into the bay. Course plays pretty quickly, as it is a short tract. Fun for a change of pace.
