I played the red and white course the blue was under maintence this day. We have just moved down here from NC. So this is the first time I played here. price was decent. wide open course red course was in better shape than white. white looked like it just got plugged. The starter was major cool and let me start on the back 9. so I would not have to wait behind 2-4somes. it is fairly easy to do this course in under 4 hrs as long as the people in front of you keep moving. Looks like people take pride in repairing divots and iron marks with sand. this course is actually minutes away from me and YES I will play again many many times again. Keep up the good work Royal St.Cloud.

Nice course but always windy. Food pretty basic and a long way off the beaten track.

Like most courses in Orlando, this course is relatively flat, open, and invites the "make the big dog eat" golfer to "let out the shaft and get whiplash" ...if you don't mind playing your second shot from 2 fairways over because of the wind enhancing the direction of your "Big Banana" but the course is very fun and the cost isn't bad with a coupon. This is a course you should play if you are not pressed for time. Savor it, digest it, enjoy it, .......or you'll regret it.
Tuesday, April 29,2008: Everytime I go to Florida, this course is like a flame.....and I'm the moth!!! ...like seeing a old friend again. As before, the course was in pretty decent shape, greens in good conditions, fairways well maintained. The staff...and coffee....were , as before, very friendly and accomodating. Price is very reasonable with a coupon. I will return again and again and again. Thank you.

no rangers on sunday 5/04 afternoon, played behind 5some for the first nine holes and quit. course was well maintained and would have been fun if not for the situation.

Loved this course. The course was in great shape and the layout was challenging yet very playable at the same time. Friendly staff combined with a nice pro shop made the experience very worthwhile. Oh and who can forget about the built in coolers in the carts!

Great first course to play after a long winter of snow. Not real difficult, but has a couple of good holes. Nice practice area. Very friendly staff. I would play here again.

wide open course, fairly decent shape overall, greens were amongst the slowest i played this week.

I love this course. It is tricky but fair. Multiple tees make it playable for all skill levels. Great staff.

Having found the course last year through a listing of "Orlando's top five underrated courses", I visited it twice this year, and will probably be back in February as well!

Teeing off early in the morning, I did not encounter any of the delays others seem to have found. The staff are very nice, and it's a forgiving-- not to say easy-- course that was both a great first round while on vacation and a nice way to close out the week.

The only issue that I had with the course is that it seems that nobody repairs pitch marks! The greens definitely had way more ball marks than any others I saw during my week. It's a shame-- perhaps the course should really emphasize green repair in some way-- free greens tools? I don't know, but it was sort of sad to see the state of the greens in some places... not much the greenskeepers can do about it really.

VERY Disappointed.

Upon arriving at the course, it looked like we were in for a great day of golf. We soon realized that we shouldn't judge a book by it's (attractive) cover. We were to tee off at 1:45pm. We figured that we'd be able to get a round in before dark (assuming darkness at around 6:15-6:30). The first thing we were told was that they were running late. We saw a group of 5 head out on to the course before us. We then saw a man who had cancelled his tee-time head out on to the course before us. And finally a twosome (which became a foursome while we were waiting) were bumped ahead of us. Great start. We finally teed off at around 2:15. We were still hopefull that we could finish 18 before dark. Our hopes were quickly dashed when we waited at the 2nd tee, 3rd tee and 4th tee. At the 4th tee, there were three groups waiting at the tee and 2 groups on the hole. And no marshals in site. At 6:15pm, we were waiting at the 13th hole. We gave up. With little sympathy shown by the staff at the club house, we left the course with a very bitter taste in our mouths. Royal St. Cloud isn't "one of the greatest values in golf among Orlandos golf courses" when you only get to play two thirds of the course!!

Great links-style course in Central Florida

This course is a great value for a links-style course in Central Florida. Lots of swales and bunkers, fast greens. You will need to learn to bump and run your approach shots hit, just like at the great courses in Scotland.
