Creekside has been closed since June 08. The owners are land speculators. However, a mowing effort is being made by a 1-man crew. In Oct/Nov the mowing rate should be equal to the grass growing rate. Then it will be a good place to walk and play for free. No flagsticks, no bathroom, food or water, but a sweet layout. Forced water carries on six holes. Both fairway level bump and run greens and elevated bomber greens. Greens/tees are partly bald, but it's a good place to practice your game, if you're willing to walk and play under primitive conditions.

Improved with new owner but still Bad Option

The new owner has done a great job with a doomed facility. The greens are somewhat better but the drainage on the course still remains "swampy". His rates are a bit high for this golf course and would recommend it if it were the same rates as Champion. It is a short course that needs to be re-designed and although the course conditions are better, a lot of work should be made to warrant competitive rates. It is still not a good option and I live a half of mile from the facility.

Creekside is got the potintal of a good course. With new Managment in house I think it will come back strong. In time it sill be a nice course. People need to sit back and let it rise to it full glory. It won't happen of fews months it's going to be a while. People need to go out and play to bring in the money so that it will come back from the dead. Can't beat 18 holes for 20.00 dollars after 11 am. With a cart. I'll pay that everyday to play.

This could be a nice golf course if it was kept up. A nice inexpensive golf area would be great in that location. Perhaps the owner will read this and take my suggestions for action. The clubhouse needs some renovations. Once the clubhouse is complete it would make a good place for a restaurant and snackbar. Secondly, it has planty of room for a driving range. These two things alone would create income. The creek itself is beautiful and has a lot of potentional. As far as the golf course itself goes, it would be a good course if it were cleaned up. I like the idea of a nine hole golf course. Even a par three would be good. Most of all I recommend a driving range with a snack bar. These are just some thoughts. I hope to see a comment from the owner or from someone that knows the owner.

Shotmakers Course - A very tight and pretty short links style course

Not at all an average Muny. Don't plan on pulling the big stick all day. irons off many tees are the play. New management in Early '07 has given the course some character (and about 3 rating points! Yikes - shooting 80 is tough!) Greens are better in the winter with the ryegrass. Old 319 Bermuda greens putt a bit slow in the summertime (I was told it was due to a needed 'grow in' due to previous neglect),but getting better with new managers. They actually have a golf pro now, a nice guy named Cole who gives lessons for less than dinner for two at Applebees. He's helped me out a lot though/no driving range, but a good 40 minute lesson with as many balls as you can hit out on a few open holes...... A very laid back atmosphere, and OH YEAH, as of Summer '07 they were serving FREE BEER with your round. At $24 +tax for 18 w/cart, I would rate this an 8.5 out of 10 on the value meter, and a 10 out of 10 place for beginners or more relaxed golfers to feel comfortable playing golf and not being sneered at by uptight marshalls or know it all elitists.
Try it out, but take a few extra balls to feed the fishes. Great meeting place with the boys.

creekside golf club, Pensacola, Florida.

This golf course to sum up briefly is NOT a golf course, it's your worst nightmare.
There is no grass on the tee's fairways or the greens and be prepared to loose lots of balls. On a good note I got that bored with the golf that I went looking for golf balls and found about 40.
What really hurt was that my brother-in-law paid for the four ball for my birthday and it set him back over $100 dollars.

I feel that bad that I'm going to treat him to a round of decent surroundings at the Moors.
