Nice tradional course the starter and rangers make the staff. The golf pros are never friendly.

Pluses: This course is quite beautiful. The greens, fairways, and the rough were well kept. The people there are friendly. The club house was well stocked with everything I needed. It was a decent value. Some hole were quite challenging, but not artificially challenging.
Minuses: I'm from an area much more hilly, so I was bumed in the lack of elevation changes on the course =( But thats what you get in sunny FL!
Many holes seemed "cookie cutter" designs.
It did seem some fairways were cramped for space.

Overall, a good time. I hope to go there again someday...

The old out does the New!

When you visit Bay Dunes resort in Panama City(Beach) either to stay or just play one of the two golf courses(Jack's course being the other) you will find the staff pleasant and friendly much like both courses. I was taken back by the comments of most staff when my better half and I arrived for our first tee time at the Meadows as they expressed that we would certainly enjoy our round on the older and least expensive of the two 18 hole courses located at this resort, although they mention that we should try Jack's course if given time.(which we did later the next week)
Both courses start at the club house area with full range and (seperate)practice greens for these courses as both are differnet grasses and speeds.
After playing both courses I can say that we both believe that the Meadows is better value and more than likely a better course to play excluding the other has Jack's name attached.Unfortunately Jack's course had a few short holes even from the blues that well seemed to be just designed as such because of the lack of space in that particular area of the course as other resort buildings are still being built in and around this particular course.
No matter which you play you will ceratinly enjoy either but if given the chance and time play both and you weigh the value1
