Having played the three Palm Coast public courses many times, I can easily say that this is the best of the bunch. While Cypress Knoll and Pine Lakes are very nice, challenging and very "homey", Palm Harbor has a totally different feel. It's busier, and has the feel of a much larger country club. The course was completely rebuilt just a few years ago and the layout is wonderful. But for me, it's the grass that makes it different. I don't know if it's different, or there's just more of it, but hitting a ball of these fairways just seems to be easier and allowed me to shoot my personal best round. It's always an exceptional experience to play Palm Harbor.

Nice public course but over booked and a narrow short track. We need another public course in Palm Coast! It took us 4.5 hours to play. Grand Club, will you please reopen the Matanzas Course, the flagship course of Flagler County.

This is a challenging course with lots of bunkers. Over the winter the greens were deteriorating, but they have miraculously come back and the entire course is in very fine shape. The staff are wonderful and there is an excellent chef in the kitchen (she even has a garden so that she can serve fresh produce). You get the kind of attention that is more like belonging to a private club. I have come to love the course and my great Tuesday morning women's golf league (Nifty Niners).
