Played 08/04/12 on a Groupon the course had issued. What a great idea. Hope they do it again. The course was beautiful and the lunch was excellent. We played nearly 36 holes that day and enjoyed every one. Stayed the entire weekend at the Marriott across the street from the entrance. Would highly recommend this course and that venue to stay. Best weekend we've had in a long time.

Played in July 2011. Excellant course just a little pricey for summer playing.

Grande Pines is one of my favorites in Orlando, which has many great courses. I keep going back to Grande Pines because it's close to everything in the attractions area, the prices are reasonable, the course is always in great shape and it's a good challenge. Smyers and Faldo created a course that requires every shot and every club in your bag. While not terribly long at just over 7000 yards from the tips, the player is faced with undulating greens, deep bunkers, water and some challenging wind conditions that make the course a good test. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and new. The practice area has everything you need, albeit on a small scale. For a complete practice facility however, you just need to go across the street to the fantastic Faldo Institute! In my opinion Grande Pines is a must-play when you are in Orlando!

Fairways are in decent shape, bunkers are deep with plenty of sand, no burnout and lush greens. Greens were probably running around 8 to 9 and firm. Long irons, and woods ran off the greens. I would play there again.

Just recently played this course first time since Marriott took it over. They did a great job "refinishing" it. It is a fun course and was in great shape when we played last week. The Greens were beautifully maintained and the surrounding landscaping in and around the fairways made it scenically pleasing, and although it does wind through a vacation village, the buildings do not impose on the course too much. There are a lot of bunkers sculpted into the rises and swales, but they are more aesthetic then penalizing unless the shot is way off aim. The mix between really challenging holes and fairly easy holes was good, but pay attention to yardage. Some well hit long drives ended up being penalized because of hidden danger off the tee. The staff was great and very attentive. Overall a great day of golf.

Course Management is Poor - This disrupted the pace of play for the entire day. Not impressed...

Great design, which at first look easy, but demands a strategy and is not about long hitting. Greens were fast and difficult! Friendy, good service!

very nice course and more challenging than it looks at first glance - the greens were in great shape, balls roll true. there are a lot of bunkers on every hole. look for internet deals for this course, they are out there and they make this course a true value.

Bunkers, Bunkers, Bunkers, then MORE Bunkers........on every single shot (or so it seems)! They WAIT for you so if you want some practice and playing out of the litter box, this course is for YOU. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate this course around an '8', with 10 being playing golf along the beach. Risk/Reward/punishment course and if you are a 'go for it' golfer', bring extra balls with you. this is an upscale course with a upscale pricetag. course is well maintained and the staff friendly. They do not give refunds on " Golf Pride." so knnow your limits. If it were legal to have 20 clubs in your bag, I would have brought them !! Good Luck !!

Great support staff in the club house on the course. Very helpful the cart girl out often when you think of her she is there or there soon. On a hot day thats who you want to see. Challenging course. Coming back with my buddies to play and stay.
