Best bang for the buck in this area. The course has a northern feel to it, with oak and pine trees lining most fairways and greens. A short course but tight enough you have to pick what holes to blast a driver on. The scenery is awesome with red tail hawks nesting in #15 pine trees. Nice homes not to close to the course and the pro shop promotes 4 hour rounds, so pace of play is good. Staff is friendly and the food is awesome from the restaurant.
Very easy and boring for a single digit handicap. 15 of the greens are FLAT and take no imagination or reading of the greens to putt well. any putt is makeable --- very boring
Having lived five years in The Villages, I have played many courses off campus! Royal Oaks is far and away the best maintained course I have played. The staff were friendly and helpful. The scenery gorgeous, the greens best I have played in five years...TRUE! Dollar for dollar this is a steal...a MUST PLAY!
