Baytowne Golf Course


The 18-hole "Baytowne" course at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort-Baytown & Raven Courses facility in Miramar Beach, Florida features 6,804 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 73.4 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Tom Jackson, the Baytowne golf course opened in 2006. Mark Hodgdon manages the course as the General Manager.

Great course for the price. Especially the afternoon rate. Not much of a clubhouse for a resort area. Basically a sandwich shop where you eat outside on a covered porch. Pro shop is fine. Only disappointment was that I only saw the cart girl 1 time the entire round.

Family and I enjoyed course. Staff very helpful. Could play everyday and not get old. Unlike previous reviews, not crowded at all. Possibly over fears of tar balls on beach. Played Links following day and was very dissapointed compared to this course.

The course gets lots of member play plus outside play, so it's slow. Good course with good shot values, but there is a bit of a "condo canyon" feel to the back nine. Play it when the fees are discounted.

Extremely slow play 6-10-08 made it a painful round. Not a good value at $100. Won't be back.
