Played on July 14, 2012. the staff advised me that the course had been acquired from the Admiral Lehigh organization within the past two weeks and that there were significant plans to try to rectify the neglect the course has undergone for several years. It may be too late to save the course. The best feature is the number of alligators visible in the ponds. The first green has been converted to new grass and actually mowed and rolled. Unfortunately, there are 17 more greens that have not. The remaining greens are mixtures of two or more types of grass, weeds, bare spots, fungus and bumps. Just count two putts on every hole and forget actually putting. The tee boxes are in very bad shape even for a municipal course. Based on their condition, the tee boxes are probably maintained once or twice a year instead of daily as at most good clubs. The tee boxes are a combination of divots, bare earth, weeds and some grass which has not been properly cut or maintained. The on-course rest rooms are blue (for men) and pinkish (for women) Port-a-Potties. Its probably safer for men to use the bushes. You can tell the difference between the rough and the fairways because the rough is weeds and various mixtures of grasses which are not cut as low as the fairway. Other than that, they seem to have the same weeds and grasses. The fairways also have enough unfilled divots to resemble a miniature bombing range. Granted that this is the rainy season, but the bunkers (fairway and green-side) lack sand. Hard packed dirt substitutes for the sand you would normally expect to encounter. Views are okay but nothing to make you want to come play the course. Its an 18 hole regulation length course that charges $25 on a weekend. With a South Florida Golf Pass, its $15. Those prices alone should be a warning. Use the money to put gas in your vehicle and head to another course instead. This one isn't worth it at any price. Maybe the new owners can revive the course, but it will take a long time and a lot of money that doesn't seem to suit the area. As a golfer I hate to see any course shut down. This one should.

It is expensive unless you get a 3 pm tee time in the winter. And then you may not finish. The greens are not in great shape. There has been work on the fairways and after several years of neglect, it seems to be coming around. There is a very long hole on the back nine. If you want to finish your round, then you'll have to pay for it.

I think this is the oldest course in Lehigh. Good layout, overall fair to the average golfer while the length from the back tees would provide a challenge to the lower handicappers. This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Friendly staff and fellow players. Has an adequate driving range for warmups. Generally a long and open course with a fair amount of sand. Water doesn't come into play as much as the name might imply. This is my favorite of the Lehigh courses. A little hard to find, but wide open spaces once found. This is a course that keeps you coming back.

We play this course every year. If you like a long course you will love this! There is a decient restaraunt and a snack cart came by a few times. It has improved this year. They have partnered with the Admiral Lehigh Resort course which has been renovated and has reopened as a nice 9 hole course. Both courses are in very good shape and I have to say the greens were excellent. Scenery is very nice and fairways pretty open.

This is one of the least expensive courses in the area to play. Friendly proshop, restaurant has a wide selection for breakfast, lunch, dinner and is reasonably priced. Friendly service can be expected. They make you feel at home. They seem to be trying to improve the quality of their course. The course is challenging from the green tees (traditional) and 400 yards longer from the white. They also have blue and black which I have not played. The two forward tees are yellow and red. Their location is somewhat difficult to find.

I thought the conditions were horrible the greens were terrible bumpy and slow.Walked off after 15 holes was supposed to play and payed for 36. Mentioned to pro shop attended how disappointed we were and he didn't seem to care.
