The 18-hole "Southern" course at the Southern Hills Plantation facility in Brooksville, Florida features 7,557 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Pete Dye, ASGCA, the Southern golf course opened in 2006. Hampton Golf manages this facility, with Jim Knierim as the General Manager.

Very nice course, however for the money I will take Saddlebrook.

We played World Woods, Pine Barrens in the morning and wanted to try something different. What a great decision. Although the greens were a little slow due to aerification about 10 days ago, they rolled true. The elevation changes and routing of the course are fantastic. Course knowledge helps, as there are several obscured fairways and approaches. The conditioning was superb and the staff should be applauded for running such a fine facility. Play here if you can, or if you have the means join the membership. You won't be disappointed.
