Played this course on 3/14/11. Had an 11:30 tee time did not get off the tee until 12:15. Reason for late tee time is we had to wait for carts to come in before we could go out. They seem to try to fit everyone in that calls for a tee time. Course is one of the better ones I've played in this area. We did not get off the course until 5:30 Took 6 hours from our original tee time to complete our round. Course is decent, but they are trying to milk the number of rounds played per day.

I really did not see any resemblance between this course and the negative comments above. I found the course to be in very good condition; the greens especially. I paid $75 for the round and found the staff very helpful and friendly. There is a nice lounge / bar area; an average pro shop and a pretty good locker room. This is pretty much what I would expect for a $75 round.

Course was nice but golf course management and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Obviously this is a gold old boy golf course as my wife was totally ignored when she walked in the clubhouse by all the people who where there. Getting any questions answered was like pulling hens teeth. The counter guy wanted to charge us to play golf after me telling him we were there on a prepaid golf package. I had to show him the printout I brought with me and ask him for my bucket of golf balls and the golf gifts included with the package. While the wife and I had an enjoyable time playing the course thanks to the staff we will not be going back there anytime soon.

Played August of 07 - clearly was a 3 star or maybe better. Condition fine for an older - read as classic golf coourse - Ross designs are fun but not modern. Good course for the local area. Summer rates reasonable. Maybe those of you paying $90 should be working up north in the winter months when we cannot play golf. Then you might appreciate more.

Exceeded expectations after reading these reviews.
Greens were lightly sanded 3 weeks prior and still fast.
Nice layout, well designed, this course really punishes you if you don't keep it in the fairway or get too agressive on your approach shots, bunkers were well placed and the rough was thick and it was easy to lose your ball even if you had a good idea where it landed. Good luck hitting it out of the rough, better use 2 extra clubs when you do. I played with summer rates of $30 a round and my junior got to play free with replays. This was a great value as we ended up getting in 27 holes. I enjoyed it so much, I played 27 holes again the next day. If I had paid their full season rate of $95 I would only had enjoyed it half as much. Definately worth the summer rate. Staff was first rate and I never saw a ranger in two days play nor needed them, as play was relatively quick in the afternoon. The last 9 was wide open on friday and our twosome managed to get done in 90 minutes. I now understand why Don Ross is so regarded as a golf course designer.

This course was the MOST OVERPRICED course I've played in the Tampa Bay Area. At $90 a round I expected an experience like Saddlebrook BUT what I got was no better then the Night Course on Bush Blvd. (Terrace Hill Executive). The grounds are as hard as a rock, they are very close together so LOOK OUT and the greens are full of dry spots. Again, $90 for nothing. WAIT they did have nice yellow (once white) towels in each cart. Don't go hear is my advice.

This place is a dump, the staff was horrible and lazy, the course was not well kept, the greens ecspecially. I dont see how this place is still in business what a dump!

The way this course is kept far exceeded my expectations, the management and greens crew seem to be second to none judging by the course conditions that i witnessed even after a series of days bareing horrible weather

This course is horrible.....caution the rough is so long you will spend 15 minutes looking for your ball if you do not hit into the fairway. Play is painfully slow and the ranger made play worse. The GM Chuck Eade was horrible!!

enjoyed this course

Donald Ross design means don't overshoot the green or you'll pay.
Beautiful scenery and golf course people are helpful and courteous.
The back 9 is the real prize, beautiful as the sun starts to soften
in the sky. Bring your driver, plenty of distance.
