The 18-hole "North" course at the Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club facility in Apopka, Florida features all the hallmarks of Florida golf. Designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, the North golf course opened in 1997.
This course has been closed for a few years.
Played the course from a friend who recommended it after playing it probably 6 years ago. Of course since then they have closed the South nine and the conditions of the course were just horrible. The greens were inconsistent and had a lot of weird grass growing in spots. The 5th hole probably had at least 10 dead spots that were just dirt you had to putt through. Another green on the back 9 had more than half the green roped off because they replaced grass in a circle formation. For a Florida course to be in this bad of shape in the peak season can not be good news. I will not be coming back to this course again.
