Stay Away - A public course that will be happy to take your money in their Pro Shop and Restaurant but will tell you to leave their putting green if you are not a paying customer that day.

Not a favorite of mine. You put your life in other peoples hands when stepping on that course, I suggest a helmet. I could also do without the lecture on when to show up for a tee time when I check in 20 minutes early as well.

You get what you pay for.

I replayed after several years. The course has improved considerable. The greens are in good shape. The course has some nice view and several holes have step elevation changes. A fun course and still a great value. I will have to try the restaurant next time.

The Tradition at Windsor (old Millbrook GC) is baaack! It appears the development of the course is no longer an option and management has the course back in great condition after a few years of neglect. The fairways and greens are in great shape for this public course adjacent to I-91 between exits 37 & 38. and improvments can be seen each week. I began playing there last fall (2009)and found it a challenging course with a few steep hills/ravines and a brook that must be cleared on many holes. Good course management is needed and accurate drives is necessary on all but a few holes. The best things about this course is the value, lack of use and the restaurant. I normally play weekdays and except for early mornings, tee times are generally wide open. After a round you will find the restaurant a great place to relax, have a few brews and some real good food - not just a hot dog either. A large, outdoor patio overlooks the 9th green so critiques on players putts are common and fun to watch. I've also heard more that an few cheers and hand clapping when someone sinks a long putt or chips in from the fringe.

Although this review may bring in more players I'm willing to trade off a few more players on the course for more improvements. Here are few suggestions to management (if they read these reviews). Put up more visable fairway yardage markers (ie; stakes), fix up some of the tee boxes and repair the cart paths. I would recommend this course to anyone for the low cost and challange.

There is no better value in the state. Where else can you pay $29 on the weekend with cart for 18 Holes. The golf course is coming back. They hired a new super and pga pro, its good to see this place makin a comeback. I def recommend this place for people looking to enjoy a round of golf with their buddies and some beverages.

This was the course I learned to golf on, with very affordable green fees it used to be a blast. Now they've eliminated the back nine and don't care for the course at all anymore.

Would have previously given the course 3.5 or 4 stars. now it's barely worth 2.

What Happened? This is probably the most poorly conditioned course in the area. The owners should be ashamed. I used to love coming here.

Reviewed June 02, 2008

Course has gone downhill as it is up for sale. Not worth the greensfees to hit off of terrible tee boxes and rock hard greens. Maintenance is barely passable. Too bad as this used to be a great golf course.
