Not a huge fan. Crabby shape.

Pretty nice course. The staff didn't seem all that friendly. The course has some character, but a little odd layout as some holes are across the road and others are cut into the side of the mountain. Some really nice views, though. This course does not drain well at all especially in the valley - very wet, even days after rain. They should consider widening the small stream that winds through the valley, make it carry more water out to the river or something and build up the fairways a little higher for drainage. All-in-all, though, the price wasn't bad, the course is challenging and if you are okay with a little bit quirky layout, you'll probably enjoy it. I'd go back.

A great way to celebrate Mother's Day. A nice sunny day, the course has a great Mother's Day brunch, and the golf course was not crowded. The head pro and his staff were nice, and the pro shop had some nice specials. It is a very chellenging course. There are doglegs, waterholes, many elevation changes, uphill, sidehills, and downhills. I feel holes 5 thru 8 should be widened because of the severe sidehill slope. The views of the Simsbury mountains are spectacular, and we visited the Heublein Tower, so as a family, we had a complete day, brunch, golf, and hiking. My son is an agronomist and he would not be satisfied with the conditions, especially hole#11. The ladies tee was in the middle of a rough. My signature hole is #18, a 406 yard downhill hole, slightly doglegged right with water in front of the green, and a crowd on the porch egging your next shot. Now it is time to have a drink and become a spectator on the porch. I wish the troopers could take a day off from the firing range, as every time I have played the course, I have flash backs to basic training!

The course is located at the base of Heublein Tower with great views of the ridge line. Several holes climb up the side of the ridge line giving great scenes of the valley. As you would expect there are many holes with elevation changes and several blind fairways. A tough course to walk. Greens are average with slight slope and fairways are in good condition. Only neg is the 13th fairway is scalped with large bare ground in the center.

Course is poorly kept, played there 2x this year once in the summer and once early Sept. The condition of this course for what you pay is just awful. The course is tough especially with all the elevation changes but it is not worth the $$$

This course is nice and I like to play it. The staff on the other hand are aweful. They are not nice they are lazy and the just want your $$ since the place is losing players left and right. I would say if have the choice keep on driving and dont stop. If you do stop you will be sorry.

Beautiful course. Very enjoyable holes and lots of rollings hills and vistas. I recommend to anyone within an hour's drive of trying tower ridge.

Played in early July after all the rain and it was still an enjoyable round. Can't beat the price and is always well maintained

Nice track! If it weren't for the State Trooper shooting range, it would be one of the nicest in that area.
If your driver isn't working very well, leave it in the bag for this place. Narrow fairways and subtle greens make this a rough one. The best part was the "peanut gallery" seats on the 19th hole where they setup seats facing the 18th green. Fun razzing others.

A great course for a decent price

(5/14/07) Tower Ridge is a beautiful course to play. This course is very challenging and a nice way to see if your game is or has been improving as course management is important. The front 9 is difficult with all the hills that cause you to play a variety of lies if you don't keep your ball in the fairway. The back 9 has great scenery and seemed a little tighter than the front, but not as hilly. I look forward to playing this course again. This course is a great for the price. $49 for 18 and a cart.
