The 18-hole "Norvelt" course at the Norvelt Golf Club facility in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania features 6,387 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Larry Liprando, the Norvelt golf course opened in 1968.
I agree that there are a few mediocre holes...but there are also some breathtaking holes which compare only to Broad Run in West Chester (PA). I found the 2nd thru 7th holes to be simply fantastic and beautiful. I truely think this is an under-rated course...a steal at $25. Sure there is some maintenance issues like crabgrass...and maybe I just played when all the trees were blossoming...but I enjoyed the layout. If you like to climb hills...you'll enjoy your hike if walking. As a medium range driver...I did not come close to driving these holes. Having rated well over 100 courses on Golflink...this one is a keeper!
Played here a few times last year, fairways are not good. EASY GOLF COURSE, hit driver wedges all day and drove some greens. Greens were okay, but left there wanting more. Just not impressed. Mediocre to say the least.
