The 9-hole "South" course at the Isle Dauphine Golf Course facility in Dauphin Island, Alabama features 3,310 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Arch Winter, the South golf course opened in 1962.
Golf course is under new management and renovation. 9 holes are open. Pro explained it played like an Old Tom Morris golf course and it did. Greens are pretty good, some fairways have grass and some are sandy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful layout with 3 holes on the Gulf of Mexico. Can't wait to go back after the renovation is finished.
Worst course I have ever played on. I think the course was closed for a while - everything run down. The lady sitting at the folding table said she was just there to set up Internet and did not know anything - but she took our cash (cannot do credit cards).NOT 18- - 9 holes to play twice. Greens have not been mowed in days/weeks. No fairway - sand on everything. Hard to even find holes - most of the tee signs are down.We stopped after 9 holes and asked for money back but she said her boss was not there.
