This links design is not so links-ish with all of the development around the course. Without the McMansions affecting wind on many of the holes, it could be a truly magnificent links experience. It still is a great course but I do not believe it plays the way it was designed to be played because of development. There are some truly wonderful hole designs that force some creative shotmaking. All things considered, it is definitely a course that needs to be played at least once.

I'm one of those locals, although I don't live miles away from other courses - I regularly play Blue Heron, Renault, Seaview, Habor Pines, Twisted Dunes, and Brigantine. I like Brig for a nice alternative that makes you feel good about your game (it's fairly easy to score) and is different in a quirky way. I don't mind the houses, the greens are true, the greenheads aren't that bad when the winds comes up, and the goose turds make a nice snack when you get hungry. Plus, Brig is half the price of most "real country club" courses. So, like Golfcrazy said, quit your whining, go to Brig, and have some fun shooting a low score!
