Evergreen Resort, Cadillac, MI

We played the Spruce Course for two consecutive days which is 18 holes. The tee's were set as far back as possible on the blue tee box. This course is a beautiful and challenging Valley/foothills-like golf course with fairways lined by trees. The fairways are butter soft and imaginative, greens fast, and pin placement tricky but well placed. A slight fade or draw will play well on most holes. This is a course for all to enjoy. I welcomed a no pressure environment with friendly staff. I suggest asking for a golf cart and riding the course before going out and playing a round. Yes they will let you do that.
So what's the downside?
There are some beautiful views that are blocked by overgrown crowded pine trees. The Food Experience: The food at the sports bar is very good and reasonably priced. The main restaurant(gourmet) on the site could use a kick in the @$!*% from Chef Ramsey, and a good chef. The view from the main restaurant dinning area is also blocked by overgrown crowed pine trees, again a lost opportunity to show case a beautiful course and resort.
