The 18-hole "Cape Arundel" course at the Cape Arundel Golf Club facility in Kennebunkport, Maine features 5,881 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 69. The course rating is 67.1 and it has a slope rating of 118 on Bent grass. Designed by Walter Travis, the Cape Arundel golf course opened in 1897.

I played July of 2010. WamGolf may not have heard that they just completed major historic renovation so it is still growing in somewhat. It is in fine shape now, and will be spectacular in 2011. I highly recommend it--better than any other Southern Maine course, no question. GREAT greens and views with links feel.

I played here in May of 2010. The course is rich with tradition and has an amazing "Old New England" charm to it. The course itself was in poor condition but they were working on it. It's probably not worth $60 but I'm happy I played it once for the history. You can read my full review here: www.wamgolf.com
