Camelback Golf Club , Scottsdale, AZ

Although many of the golf courses in the Scottsdale area are brown and dried up at this time of year, this course was in very poor shape. About 50% of the fairways were dirt. Staff was very helpful though.

Indian Bend is an American style links course, meaning I hit all four of the trees on the course. It as very playable, but once the sand/thunderstorm hit, I didn't stop, but got a clue of what the British Open feels like as a tree was blown down behind me.

The course was over seeded and not in very good shape. I did like the layout and the facilities. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, but the course (even if in good shape) is over priced. Too many others in the valley that are better values.

I played both Wednesday and Thursday October 15 and 16 and found the staff incredibly friendly, the course in very good shape, and the facilities excellent. I got a great online greens fee that included everything, and found the rounds I played to be very enjoyable. Recently, overseeded, the only drawback was playing cart path only which somewhat slowed the pace of play. Especially spectacular was the 12th hole with Camelback in the background.

This is supposed to be a fine resort course. It is just below the level of fair muni. Tee boxes are chewed up, full of divots, lack definition, lack grass and lack any maintenance. The fairways are the quality of the rough at your worst muni and the rough is nothing but uncut weeds. The greens are weed filled, ball marked like a tennager's acne and indistinguishable from the "fairway". There is no innate challenge to the layout, just the extremely poor conditions. Of the eight courses we played, this was the only one in this condition. Go to a movie instead.

This is the worst shape course I have ever seen! Rained over 4 days again and it look like it was never cut! Rough in the fairway, tee boxes and sand traps. Horrible course and will never play there again!
