Decent condition but always plays very slow. For example, on a recent Sunday morning the starter for some reason let a 5some out of mostly beginning golfers ahead of several groups who were ready to go and checked in. The 2some and 3some that eventually played as a 5some was late and not ready to go for their tee time. The on course marshalls never do anything regarding pace of play even when groups are a full hole or more behind. Completely unacceptable for a course that has somewhat high fees, especially on a Sunday. Plenty of better local courses around.

Like most courses in the NW suburbs, fairly pricey compared to collar county courses, but Deerfield is a nice course. Challenging and fair. It was backed up today, 7/30/2010 and since I played with a online discount, and drove 40 mi. to play there, not too bad.
