Worst experience I have ever had at a golf course in twenty some years. Elitist and exclusive. The guy working the counter on Saturday morning was one of the rudest, most disrespectful people I have ever met. So much so that I didn’t finish my round of golf and left early. I highly recommend traveling just 5-10 mins to Sun Valley, which is a much nicer course and the staff are much friendlier. Rates are the same. You are supporting bad people if you give money to this golf course.
With beautiful views and some surprising challenges, the Bigwood Golf Course in Ketchum, Idaho is one of the best kept secrets in the area. The par-36, nine-hole course measures 3,415 yards with twists and turns through a very scenic area. From several places on the course, you'll have excellent views of the nearby Bald Mountain. Some of the holes are close to an adjacent road, but with the mature trees and pretty landscaping, you will hardly notice.Bigwood offers a variety of holes including two par-5s. The 553-yard third hole is the longest on the course. The staff and is very friendly and happy to help you get started on your round. Carts are available, but you might choose to walk during your round and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A driving range and putting green are also offered on-site. The course is rarely crowded and you can play a round of nine holes in under two hours (even when walking).Overall, the Bigwood Golf Course is a nice escape and worth a visit the next time you are in the area.
