Clarinda Golf Course Description

The 18-hole "Clarinda" course at the Clarinda Country Club facility in Clarinda, Iowa features 5,081 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 68. The course rating is 64.6 and it has a slope rating of 104 on Rye grass. Clarinda golf course opened in 1907. Shane Baumgart manages the course as the Golf Professional/General Manager.

Course Reviews

Not a bad course. The front 9 is 100 years old with some big trees, and harder to walk than the back nine which is much newer and much flatter. They pride themselves on fast greens.

The club house wasn't much when I was a member there several years ago but they have a new one that I'll get to see in at least one tournament in 2008. I've heard they have a new course watering system which will really help in July and August.
