LaPlaya Golf Club, Naples, FL

My wife and I purchased an "all you can golf" package which included a stay at the resort (which is unequaled). This course is fun to play occasionally, but far to challenging for my game at this point. The first hole is a horseshoe around a large lake. The course is very tight with some long and tight thrown in. We enjoyed our stay mainly because the staff is exceptional from the cart staff to the pro shop attendant to the beverage cart staff and beyond. But then again, that is what you expect from a 5 star resort staff. The practice facility is prestigious in appearance, but not functionally superior to most courses. Overall, I wouldn't mind playing the course again to see if I could improve my score, but there are better courses in the area to play in my opinion.
