The 9-hole "Red" course at the Myakka Pines Golf Club facility in Englewood, Florida features 3,309 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Lane Marshall, ASGCA, the Red golf course opened in 1978.
What a bargain $13 to walk 18 and even included range balls. Nice practice facility. The course was in great shape and very challenging from the tips.
The course is very good for the mid to high hcp. The lower hcp., will want more of a challenge. The greens are nice, true but slow. The bunkers have nice sand with very few carries over bunkers to hit the green. The bunkers are not there to punish you. The course drains slowly, so I would wait 3-4 days after a heavy rain. I saw three small gators in 18 holes, a bonus.
