The 9-hole "Eagle Lake" course at the Eagle Lake Youth Golf Center facility in Plymouth, Minnesota features 1,785 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 31. Designed by Joel Walters, the Eagle Lake golf course opened in 2001.
Years ago my husband and I used to golf at eagle lake a lot. This year we have been there a few times. I loved it then much more than now. I feel that tee times are booked too close together, it is always much too busy for my taste. People do not even check in at the clubhouse anymore so the people pile up. Our last visit and the one before that the lawn was being mowed, right behind us the whole way and it was very distracting. There were people driving golf carts backwards through the course. The two in front of us were playing fairly slow, and the people behind were walking down to the red tee right after we tee'ed off. There was construction going on and noisy machinery. We were told they were not busy, as we got up to the tee 10 min later, there was a line of people that I doubt ever even checked in. It was like a free for all. I never thought I would say this about eagle lake as it used to be our favorite little 9 hole, but we will not be going back. It felt like trying to enjoy golf in grand central station every visit this year. We have since expanded our horizons to many other courses in the twin cities area. None of them were as crazy as this place has become. I suppose that is to be expected when a facility designed this well is discovered, but If you want to golf , enjoy some relaxation, this is not the place for you. This place is speed golf only.
I liked this course and area alot. You have a night time driving range They have a lighted little par 3 course. They also have a putt putt course, I believe that has lights also. there executive course has 4 par4's and 5 par 3's. very fun cousr to take wife and kids. and very popular.
