This is one of the top municipal golf courses in CT and definitively one of the top courses in the Hartford area. The course is typically in excellent condition with many challenging yet fair holes. The greens are fast and true although many have complex contours typical of a Pete Dye design. The only drawback is that the greens fees are a bit steep ($65 during the week with cart) unless you are a resident of Bloomfield. Check EzLinks for better deals.

Great playable course. For a Pete Dye especially. Certainly one of his best. 18 very good golf holes. Course is in very good condition. Staff is fine except for pro shop who are not very friendly, which is odd because you would think they would want the business.

Played early on 9/17 for $35.00. Great layout. Fairly open off the tee but greens are fast with a lot of slope. Miss a few greens in the wrong spot and was lucky to get it inside 15 feet.
Definatly my favorite course in ct next to great river
