Springs Ranch Golf Club, Colorado Springs, CO

A really cool course but it's closing in early 2020. Conditions are just fair now, but the views are great. The course is being re-zoned for residential property after 25 years as a golf course. Play it before it closes!

Nice, challenging layout. Greens were in really nice shape for Nov; still grass-covered and putted true. Traps are either gravel or concrete; looks like they've given up maintaining several of them. Front nine views are of the shopping areas along Tutt and housing areas; back nine is much nicer and quieter. Biggest complaint is we've played the course twice, and both times we've run into multiple 5-somes on the course. If you're looking for a nice pace of play, this isn't the place. Still, the course is challenging, but if they'd spend some money fixing the traps and get rid of the 5-somes, it'd be a much better experience.

Never a good experience. Staff, quality of course and pace all were less than desirable. Try Valley Hi & Patty Jewett; much nicer facilites. Springs Ranch greens were so bad we stopped putting after 4th hole. No use; they were round baseball fields.
