Course Reviews

This course has the potential to be great. However, it's much too expensive for what you get. We paid $47/person. Absolutely no amenities...water only at two holes on day that was over 98 and no beverage cart. They let the grass grow too high before mowing therefore lots of clippings. We saw no yardage markers. Directions to some of the holes were not marked. Overall, very poorly maintained. Such a shame.

One of the most fun courses I have played in a while. I have played twice in 2011 and the greens were in immaculate shape. Very fast and challenging. I am used to a tight course, so this one seemed pretty open to me. As a reviewer stated below, the tee boxes are pretty spread out and you drive through neighborhoods, so walking is out. Surprisingly, there was a lot of wildlife around - Geese, Ducks, Rabbits, and Squirrels seem to be the norm. Each hole brings a little something different and it makes for a very fun course. CC of Arkansas is shaping up to be one of my favorites in the area, and for the price, nothing else has beat it yet.

It seems the past ratings are not current, but I have played this year (May 2010)and find the course, especially the greens, in fine shape. In the past they were poorly maintained but it's obvious more effort has been made to correct these problems. The clubhouse is okay, nothing fancy, but they have added "hot food", not just sandwiches. The pro is very friendly and quite a good teacher, I'm told. Nice range, nice carts, some have A/C). The course is tight. If you can hit straight, you'll score well. It is spread out so a cart is a must. Built in a low area, you'll see protected wetlands which is interesting, but a disadvantage after a heavy rain (but it seems to drain well). They have specials at times (holidays, some weekends, late afternoons). I'd rate them between the ordinary public course and a true country club.

This course is living on name and name only. While it is early in the season, you can tell the course ended on a low note and unless some serious work it done to correct that, it will be sorry all year long. The pro shop liars are not to be believed about anything except maybe the amount of folks on the course. No matter what they'll tell you THE COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE. It RARELY is. Let us not even get into the inflated greens fees. This is a $30-35 weekend rate course. Just because you slap on the title Country Club doesn't mean slap on the price but forget about the quality. You are better off going to Foxwood at this point. This place is a joke.

This course could be awesome but the greens are not in good shape right now. Bare spots, plugs, grass shoots, poorly cut holes lead to tricky putts. Staff was courteous and friendly though.

I rated this course 2.5 because the fairways were so-so and most of the greens looked like they were dying in spots. Some bunkers where as they should be an others were like a ditch with some dirt poured in. The course can be much better but seeing as we are in the beginning stages of summer and heat (it was 90 all week) I don't see it getting better before it gets worse. Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of choices around LR so you are forced to deal with what you have. So it may be worth trying out during the week or at twilight, but they way they are charging to play this place on the weekend don't be surprised if you are highly disappointed. It's a $30/$35 course at best.

This course is worth playing considering the other public choices in the Little Rock area. Recently played there and it was in very good condition. Not scenic; however it is cut out of a wetlands area(swamp) which is unique for Arkansas golf courses. No real elevation changes, but can play rather tight on several holes due to wetlands and houses.

I found this course to be a good challenge and worth the twilight fee. I played during the middle of the week and was able to play 30 holes without being slowed down. Unfortunately, they had just aerated some of the fairways and greens, but they looked to be well maintained.

This golf course is tough and fun. It has lots of water but it is surrounded by ugly houses so it isn't very scenic.
