Course Reviews

Have played this course several times over the last 20 years. Each time, I enjoyed the course and found something new to be impressed with about its playability, maintenance and beauty. The course features 3 or 4 fantastically beautiful and impressive holes with the rest of the holes being fair and testing. I would play this course any day of the week without concern for golfing value. The tee-time book makes my rounds there of great value.

Great track i play it everytime i go thru the poconos. cant wait to play it in the fall.

this is my second post here and i am doing it after i read the other post for hideaway hills. the only reason i play this course is that they ranger the golf course. i would bet $$ that the people who are mad at the ranger and managment where the ones holding up the golf course. i dont mind a slow round if there is ranger trying to move things. and why would u rate the golf course bad when u hit a car!! the only way u can come close to a car at this course is if you really stink at golf. i just wish i lived closer to this place so i can make it my home course and shame on you slow golfers.

Very nice course. Always in great shape. It is very challenging to the average golfer.

Real nice course. Fairways are a little narrow for beginners, but I would recommend this course to my friends

Loved the course until I was sued.I drive 2 hours to play this course that my friends recommend. I generally hit pretty straight but I was off on the 8th hole, I sliced, hit a pickup truck's grille. I didn't think it was that bad, isn't that why people have insurance? well, they guy takes me to court to recover damages. Now I have to cover his "out of pocket expenses"(deductible) . Surprise, I find out how much a day at this course really costs. I've cursed at a bad hit, but cannot believe how much trouble one bad hit has caused me. If you want to play, think carefully and plan your shots, it could be very expensive.

I would like everyone to read this review and understand the ignorance of this golf course! The golf course ranger is very rude and so is management. They harassed my family members for playing too slow when my family members explained to them that they had my father-in-law on the course that was an 82 year old man and also someone with a disability they didn't seem to care. So I ask you this I am a woman with a disability and was thinking about trying out golf at this facility am I going to be kicked off the course for not moving fast enough! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE IF YOU WANT TO BE HARASSED BY THE RANGER AND MANAGEMENT!!!!

We played this coarse on 8/1/09. It was well maintained with everything from the tee boxes to greens in very good shape. This is a nice mountain course with a nice mix of dramatic drops and lush fairways. The only suggestion would be better signage between holes. Very good deal for the money - we will be back

course is impeccable. I'm a 25 handicap so hole 3 scared me with all the houses surrrounding it from tee to green. don't mind spending a couple extra bucks with that kind of view, maintenance and the nicest staff. I took my 11 yr old daughter to ride along and they were so professional and nice to her

My cousin Bob and I traveled down from the Binghamton area to play the course on 03/31/09. It was well worth the trip. This is, without a doubt, one of the neatest courses in the area. They have a prime piece of real estate and used every bit of it to create a unique golf experience. DRAMATIC elevation changes make walking a no-no for everyone but Lance Armstrong. Views on several holes are breathtaking (bring a camera). Overall, course conditions were decent for the time of year. The bunkers were free of litter and debris, but suffer the same curse as many other courses in the The greens were large and somewhat undulating. You need to be reasonably long and straight to score well here. The carts were a bit antiquated and could use replacement soon. The bar/grille wasn't open for the season, so we couldn't rate the food or service. You can tell it's pretty nice when it's up and running though. We would recommend the course and will be back.

Great Course for the money!!! Play and stay value excellent!

We played this course, not knowing what to expect, and as far as I know, none of us came away disappointed. Hole #10 will always be in our memory.....awsome,intimidating,beautiful,magnificent, and panoramic. The rest of the course was fairly well maintained with exception of some of the tee boxes BUTTTTT.. unlike a lot of people who demand that the tee box be as pristine as the green, I cannot complain about them per se. After all, I don't putt on them and I use a tee which puts the ball above the ground anyway so it doesn't really matter to me. The course is fun as it is scenic and challenging and I would recommend this course to everyone - especially if you love mountain golf.

Course is great with all the tee boxes like # 10 its hard to hate this course even though on most holes if your right or left your in the ob but over all this course is fun

hideaway hills

Great layout, offers many tee's to cater to a wide range of playing abilities. We played from the blue tees. I wasn't impressed with the overall maintenance. The rough was brown, COULD be a great course, however the maintenance ruins the experience. It has the design of a great venue, a country club layout, with the maintenance of a municipal course. The blue tee boxes were in terrible shape, and loaded with crab grass. It appears that the back tee's haven't been maintained in some time. Also, the crab grass looks like it's taking over on some of the course as well as the practice range. It appears the course is still getting regular play however like I said it could be much nicer, if a little money was put back into the upkeep. The course is thriving on the golf digest reccomendation however it would not score as high as it once did without improving the maintenance.
