Gilead Golf Course Description


The 18-hole "Gilead" course at the Blackledge Country Club facility in Hebron, Connecticut features 6,537 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.6 and it has a slope rating of 131. Designed by Mark A. Mungeam, ASGCA, the Gilead golf course opened in 1966. Kevin Higgins, PGA manages the course as the Director of Operations.

Had a wonderful day playing this old-time course. Fairways and greens were in great shape. One scenic hole after another made for lots of interesting shots. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that the snack bar was closed. I would definitely play this course again.

played the Gilead course this past weekend. The 12th hole to me is the signature hole. I triple the hole, and shot 7 over with 6 pars on the back side. I'm going back this weekend to give it a 2nd try. Hopefully, I'll avoid the water the next time around.
