River Bend Golf Club, Ormond Beach, FL

We returned 6 months later. Hottest, stormiest day of the year. Not crowded but the 4some ahead of us each took 8 to 12 strokes per hole and then when they reached the green, they squatted to line up putts. 5 1/2 hour round of golf. No ranger. The course was in ok shape. The greens had been recently fertilized, so putting was impossible. Fairways were cut too short. But overall, not bad shape. It's improving but please get a ranger out there.
Same deal 8 months later. Nice course now in rough shape due to over play. Played on a weekend recently, took 6 hours to play 18. Totally, completely over booked and pace of play is not at all monitored. This is the #1 loss leader and tourist trap/sunbird course in the area. If you're broke, or if you're a tourist or a sunbird, please play here. We're avoiding it like the plague until next summer on the hottest days of the year when the place is close to deserted. I'd rather pay the extra $ and have a pleasant round of golf. This one is for the masses.

I love River Bend. This is a great course that will not stretch your wallet or your watch.
The only fault I can really find with River Bend is that the yardages are not very clearly marked.

EXCELLENT for the money, best kept secret in Flagler beach area. Well maintained and friendly staff. It has a very interesting layout with no water coming into play but make up for it in sand traps, the greens are fantanstic. worth the money by far would play daily on this trip but they are airaeting the greens tomorrow. will play when coming back to the area.
