New ownership has upgraded the course with new irrigation and new bunkers. Greens are extremely good and the layout has many holes surrounded by wilderness. Keep an eye out to see some big alligators.
Definitely worth playing.

Twin Rivers is a great course but mixing golf with soccer (footgolf as it is called there) does not work. Soccer players do not understand golf etiquette and despite being advised that footgolf plays a lot faster than golf is a bunch of bunk!! Two of us played the back nine to avoid following three footgolf players and when we reached the front nine, the starter said to bypass another footgolf group on number 1, go to hole 2. Well, the group that was on number 1 when we went to the back 9 was moving between the number 5 green to the number 6 tee box. Not very fast in my opinion. When we reached the number 2 tee box, there was another twosome waiting for another footgolf group in front of them. It took us about 30 minutes to play number 2 and 3. When we reached number 4, the twosome in front of us was waiting for the foursome footgolf group again. The starter was there and we expressed our displeasure of having to wait for such foolery on the golf course. The starter said that the footgolf group was not the issue. Well, by the time we got to the sixth hole, we found that they were the issue. There were two holes open in front of them. They explained that one had to wade into a lake to retrieve his soccer ball (where are the alligators when you need one – sorry, that was not called for but as you can tell, I was quite agitated at this point). The other players were over flirting with the cart girl, holding us up as well as the group behind us. There was a lot of chatter at I finally shouted out “kick the d… ball or get out of the way.” They said we could play through but did not understand that the fact they were standing in front of the green did not allows us to play through – again, with no awareness of golf etiquette, they were not smart enough to get out of the way. It is one thing to get hit by a soccer ball – if they were hit by a golf ball, I am sure there would be litigation by this group. At this point, we had enough and went back to the clubhouse. We met the Pro on the way in and told him “this is BS – you cannot mix golf and soccer on a golf course.” It seems that most of the staff at Twin Rivers agree but the course GM is pushing it – it is making money at a time when the golfer population is falling off. Well, this twosome will never play there again as long as there is footgolf. I have to say, we left on a positive note when the Pro refunded our fees. My suggestion is to look elsewhere to golf in Orlando/Oviedo.

The greens in perfect!! conditions (very fast) & because the price a lot of traffic (slow pace, but still a very good experience!

Good course. Some interesting holes The few times I played the greens/fairways were kind of dry/burned. could be better maintained. Nice scenery though. Course tends to have a lot of traffic. Fair price 30$.

Saturday was my second visit to Twin Rivers. The golf course is challenging and delightful. However the shining star of the facility is the grill. The chef goes out of her way to accomodate all requests. I was a bit hungry and asked for a hotdog prior to my 10:30 round. After making a special effort at 9:45 AM to heat the grill, my hotdog was served up in short order. That is five star service! So if you want a "can do" attitude in the snack bar to go along with a top notch golf facility, Twin Rivers is the place to go.

I played 1/31/09 at 3:30 (~$25). This course has a good layout and is fun to play, but could use some maintenance. The fairways were scattered with weeds and the greens were very rough. Overall this is a good course to play if you are looking for a less expensive round.

The price was excellent at $35 on a Saturday morning (10:30). Starter however tried to sneak a twosome in front of us but we stopped that. The course was in good shape for the most part but the greens on the front nine were not in as good shape as they were on the back nine. The course was fair but watch out for the "S" shaped 17 with water to the right and than to the left with a small green. I thought it should have been the number 1 handicap hole but to my surprise it was ranked number 3.

$35 Sun AM. Course was in good shape, green were quick. A lot of sand on everyhole. Friendly staff, saw the court girl ofter. Good value. I'll definitely play here again.

Some very nice scenic, open holes. Greens need a little attention. Couple of holes have "greens" in front of actual green so it does look like they are being worked on. Nice layout. Can play fairly long or comfortably average. Definately a great value with online coupon.
Staff was phenominal. Some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered anywhere in the country. Definately a play it again course.

Twin Rivers

Twin Rivers provides the average player great scenery and descent conditions given the poor maintenance practices of past owners. Having played the course last year, it shows considerable improvement on the tee boxes, bunkers, and fairways. Unfortunately, the greens are in very rough shape, no thanks to the many players that don't seem to understand the importance of repairing ball marks on the green. During my round Saturday, we repaired approximately 15 ball marks and only three were ours. Please repair your ball mark plus three others and help these folks at Twin Rivers out! With the exception of the greens, the course is a pleasure to play and is very reasonably priced. The staff has a difficult road to improvement and so far has lived up to the challenge! Great job guys! Continue your hard work.

Nice Course

Nice course, good value. Staff is awesome. The greens are ok. The layout is very different from a traditional course, but nice however. OVerall I was impressed especially considering the low green fees.

Getting Better all the time

Since this course was sold in late 2006, we have seen some great improvements in the overall condition of Twin Rivers. Bunkers have been replaced and added in some cases. The greens are better, although not as fast as most golfers would like them. Tee boxes are in good shape and it's my understanding that those will be worked on in the coming months. It is also my understanding that the club is adding some new tee boxes to make the course that much harder. Hopefully that will keep the blue jean players off the course.

Twin is a great course and should be played by the lower handicapper, for better enjoyment.

Open play

The course is open and very easy to lose sight of ones ball on your long drives. it is forgiveing in the fact that it is not tight but yet still challenges your short game. the sand traps are very well placed and made me think i was in daytona beach for all the time i spent in them. It has been a while since i last played there but i look forward to it when the day comes.
